Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: The medical assistant does many
things such as assist in examination and treatment of patients under the
supervision of a physician. They also measure vital signs, draw blood, and
record information on patients’ charts. They also prepare treatment rooms for
the examination of patients.
Salary: The annual median salary is $32,754.
Education: To become a medical assistant you need a high
school diploma, medical assistant certificate, and 0-2 years of experience in a
related field.
Reflection: I don’t think I would like to be one because
they have to draw blood and even though I’m okay seeing blood I wouldn't want
to draw it out. Also many medical assistants that I've see sometimes can’t find
the vein and have a hard time drawing blood and I don’t want to do that.
