Veterans Day

Veterans Day
Veterans Day will be celebrated by the majority of the nation this year on Tuesday, November 11. This day honors those who have served in the U.S military forces.  It was evolved into the current Veterans Day holiday in 1954. Veterans Day is not the same as Memorial Day. Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S military veterans while Memorial Day is a day of remembering all those men and women who have died while serving. It also is in accord with other holidays such as Armistice Day and Resemblance Day, which are celebrated in different countries. I never met someone who’s parent or sibling is a veteran. Since I am a Jehovah Witness we sat neutral in all the wars that happened back then and now. I glad I don’t know anybody with a parent overseas or my parent overseas because it’s sad to know that they might not come back or that they are not taking care of the family. Kids want their parents and their time not their money. Family should be a priority than going to serve your country

Student Success Statement

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or loosing."
Chick Moorman

Reflection: The quote is very true because yes, it does matter if we win or lose, but if you win in a not right, unfair, and dishonorable way, what good does that do? It means we didn't do what is right. I think that it's better to do the right thing than win or lose, because when you win or lose you know you did it fairly and honorably.
