Reflection: This quote is telling us that we have self-mediate, understand and put into practice what we think is right. We have to ask ourselves what is right and what is wrong. For example, smoking, we have to ask ourselves is it right or wrong. Then we have to understand why it is wrong and then act accordingly. This means that we put into practice what we learned and stay away from smoking.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Some responsibilities they have are that they have to process, preserve, gather, and report patient information for health requirements and standards in a manner reliable with the healthcare industry’s numerical coding system. They also have to have and medical records of hospital and clinic patients. They also protect the patients’ medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.

Salary: The annual average salary for a health information specialist is $47,620.

Education: You are required to have a high school diploma. You also have to have a post-secondary certificate and associate’s degree in health information technology and in other courses. You also have to have a certain set of skills and qualities.

Reflection: I would like to be one because it has good pay and also I don’t have to deal with a patient’s life only their records.
