Student Success Statement George Chapman

Student Success Statement
"They're only truly great who are truly good."

George Chapman
Reflection: What Mr. Chapman is trying to say is that people can be really great when they do good. For example, there can be a basketball player that is the best in the NBA, but he can't be truly great because maybe he goes out to drink and use drugs and that's not good. Also with our actions we show our true self not with our accomplishments, but with our actions. They can be great in their jobs but not good in the heart.

Student Success Statement George Mitchell

Student Success Statement
"Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain but it isn't. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don't do it."
George Mitchell
Reflection: What Mr. Mitchell is saying is right. Using steroids is cheating and unfair to all the athletes that have worked hard to be where they are at now. Many people that use steroids think that they are using them to win a game or even the championship but it will come haunt you. Later on it can cause problems to your life, body, family relationship, and teammate relationship. Being a winner for that small moment is not worth the long term pain that will always be there.

"I won't cheat."
Dale Murphy
Reflection: This is a quote that we should follow. We have to make sure we don't cheat on tests, homework, and many more other stuff because the moment we do, we don't hurt anyone else but ourselves. When we cheat we cheat our lives. No ones will suffer because of our cheating except you. Also cheating can get us in big trouble. If you cheat on a test, you might get an F on it. If you cheat in a sport, you can lose you position or stop playing the game altogether. If you cheat, there will be consequences.

"Character matters most"

Reflection: I think what this quote is trying to say is that even though you are rich or you are beauty it doesn't matter. If you are not nice, friendly or have a good character no one is going to like you. Our character determines our actions. Our character matters the most and it's very important.
