Act of Kindness

Act Of Kindness
                         In the video we just saw in my new media class, it showed a little boy named Ian at a Diamondback's game. I saw that one of the players threw a ball to the stands and Ian was able to catch it.  He looked happy to receive it but nobody could have imagined what he had done next. Upon catching the ball, Ian saw that there was another boy that wanted to catch it as well. Since he didn't, he felt sad. Ian saw this and knew that the kind thing to do was to give the other boy the ball. Even the announcers were shocked. In return, Ian was called up by the announcers and because of this act of kindness was rewarded with a baseball bat signed by his favorite player. This shows me that we should be kind to other people not just so we could get something in return but to have the satisfaction that we made someone happy.

Student Success Statement Joseph B. Wirthlin

Student Success Statement

"Kindness is the essence of greatness."
Joseph B. Wirthlin
Reflection: I think this quote is true because you can be good at something such as singing, a sport, dancing, etc., but what good is that when you are a horrible person inside . People might think that great in those things but the best way to show greatness it is by showing kindness.

Student Success Statement Marcus Aurelius

Student Success Statement
“If it is not right do not do it;
 if it is not true do not say it.”

        Marcus Aurelius
Reflection:This quote is true because when you know something is not right like stealing or speeding you know you are not supposed to do it. So when you are pressured or in a situation of which you know it is not right you should walk away and not do it. Also in high school and even when you’re older people gossip all the time and spread rumors and if you know it is not true or don’t know if it true you should not say it. It doesn't matter if it is really serious because they might just be lies or rumors.

After high school or before I can take a college class and already have a job by the time I get out of high school. Also, the pay is okay for a dental assistant.

Student Success Statement James Freeman Clark

Student Success Statement
"It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today."
James Freeman Clark
Reflection: I think that this quote is true. This quote is trying to say that all we do now whether it is good or bad/ right or wrong will affect how our lives turn out. For example, if we get good grades, do our best and we are obedient then we will have a good future ahead of us. But if we do drugs, don't care about school, and we are not obedient, then there is a possibility that we are going to lead a bad life such as getting into gangs or even having run-ins with the law enforcement.
