Audiologist
Duties and
Responsibilities: They conduct and understand a variety of tests such as
bone and air conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests. This helps
them figure out the form and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and
effects on understanding and communication. They also assess test results in relation
to the behavioral, social, educational, and medical information of the patient.
Salary: The
annual median for an audiologist is $73,836.
Education: They
need to have a master’s degree and a nine month fellowship and 0-2 years of
experience.
Reflection: I
think that I would like to be one because it doesn't take a long time to be one
and it looks like something I would like to do. Many of the things they do I would
like to learn like trying to see what causes a person to become the way they
are and how does that affect them.
