Showcase Adventure
In our English class we were assigned a group to work with. We were all sad because we couldn't choose our own friends, but I think that helped us. Instead of playing around like how we would have be doing with our friends, we were all working on what to say and what was our part. Our topic was anemia. In my group we had six members: Ashley, Jordi, Kenia, Natalie, Sarahi, and me. I really didn't know Natalie and Sarahi, but this project showed me how much they work and I got to know them a lot more than I already had. Each member was assigned at least two slides from our PowerPoint for them to say present it. We also had to do an essay on our topic for my English teacher. My part was to write a paragraph on one of the reasons for our argument and also to write the argument, reasons, research graph, survey graph, and closing for our PowerPoint. Other people from my group had different parts as well. We had to turn both our PowerPoint as well as our essay to my English teacher. When they were returned my teacher helped correct the mistakes and make our argument stronger. In our math class, we had to conduct a survey in order to use it as a source in our PowerPoint. We also had to find a series of graphs about our topic to support our claim. In history class, we had to research all the background information for our disease using when, what, where, why,who and how. Finally on a Tuesday we had to dress professional because we were going to have a dress rehearsal and practice our presentation. It was finally Thursday, the day of the presentations. I had to go early because I'm in leadership and I had to set up. It was finally time for our presentation and one of our teammates was missing. Right when we were going to go in without her, she came running and relief was all we felt. After we were done presenting they gave us compliments that were appreciated and we left. We had done!
