Trauma Nurse
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities they have are that they have to provide care to
patients in an emergency situation. They have to run emergency procedures, act
fast and think on their feet, and handle complex and difficult situations. They
also operate healthcare machines.
Salary: The average
salary pay for a trauma nurse is $60,000 to $70,000.
Education: The
education requirements that a trauma nurse needs is basic nurse training. Hey also
have to become a licensed registered nurse. Registered nurses are required to acquire
a diploma, associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree, but if you want to be a
trauma nurse, you have to achieve a bachelor’s degree.
Reflection: I don’t
think that I want to be a trauma nurse because you have to be fast on your
feet, something I’m not. Also their patients are close to dying or have serious
injuries so they have to act fast to save their lives. I really wouldn't want
anybody’s life in my hands.
