Duties and Responsibilities: Opticians decipher eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists. They also measure a customer's face and eyes to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses and that the finished lenses are ground to specifications and fit properly. They also assist customers in selecting frames based on their prescription and life style and instruct them to take care of the glasses or contact lens.
Salary: The annual median salary is $44,605.
Education: It requires a high school diploma, may require an associate’s degree, 2-4 years of experience, and must be a licensed.

Reflection: I would like to be an optician because the career doesn’t take that much time and it pays well.
