Six Pillars of Character

1. List the six pillars.
TRUSTWORTHINESS: BLUE
RESPECT: YELLOW/GOLD
RESPONSIBILITY: GREEN
FAIRNESS: ORANGE
CARING: RED
CITIZENSHIP: PURPLE

2. Describe each pillar and give an example of each pillar.


TRUSTWORTHINESS: BLUE
Being honest
 Not cheating, stealing, or deceiving
Being reliable
Having the courage to do the right thing
You tell your friend the truth and not lie.

FAIRNESS: ORANGE
Playing by the rules
Being open-minded
Treating people fairly
Not taking advantage of others
You don’t break rules in order to be safe.

RESPECT: YELLOW/GOLD
Treating others with respect
Being tolerant and accepting of differences
Deal with problems peacefully
You don’t hurt or talk bad about a person that is different from you.

CARING: RED
Being kind
Helping people in need
Expressing gratitude
Forgiving others
You give compliments to people.

RESPONSIBILITY: GREEN
Doing what you are supposed to do
Persevering
Always do your best
Using self-control
Be self-disciplined
Thinking before you acting
You could do your homework on time.

CITIZENSHIP: PURPLE
Doing your share to make your school and community better 
Being a good neighbor
 Obeying laws and rules
  Respecting authority  
Protecting the environment
Volunteering
You could volunteer in a school or hospital.


3. Reflection: Well I see the pillars as something that we should try to live by every day because when we use these pillars they help us live a better life. My commitment will be to try to live by these six pillars of character.
